MORE GUESTS!

I haven't been around for a wee bit. Life is going through a busy patch and, most importantly, I've been putting in some good writing hours.

A couple of posts ago I told you about our visiting hens and rooster. Well, here's an update on our unusual guests.

Yesterday, two little lambs slept on our back lawn for the whole afternoon whilst 'mummy' mowed our grass. She left a lovely supply of fertilizer too!

Never a dull moment around here.

  1. Oh, how cute! Wish I had a 'mummy' to mow our lawns although I quite like the daisy-look at present.

I'm glad to hear you're putting in some good writing hours, too. :)

    1. I like the daisy look too. Much prettier than just short grass.

    1. Yes, so cuddly. I kept peeking at them through the window - such a novelty!

    1. We have a very large paddock behind us, but it's mainly scrub and very hilly. The stock have a path running the length of our back fence that takes them between more open grazing. We used to get horses, pigs and a couple of very large bulls stopping by for a visit - on the other side of the fence! And the odd piglet would wriggle through to our side. But now the farmer only carries sheep, which are proving to be much harder to keep out.
Despite this we do live in an urban suburb - just a very idyllic one!

    1. Yeah, it was fun watching them. I love their wee bleats and the way their tails wriggle when they feed.
